Adolescents
The teenage years are the perfect time to undergo orthodontic treatment as their permanent teeth have come through and their bones are still growing. Orthodontic treatment during the adolescent years is at its most simple, comfortable and non-invasive.
Traditional metal braces are still very effective and remain a popular treatment option for teenagers. Learn more >
However if your teenager is more self conscious, we have a number of more aesthetic treatment options:
Clear braces work in the same way as traditional metal braces but are less noticeable because the brackets are tooth-coloured. Learn more >
Hidden braces are placed behind the teeth so they can’t be seen. We have a number of customised options for hidden braces including Suresmile Fusion ® and Incognito® Learn more >
How long will treatment take?
The length of treatment depends on a number of factors including whether early interceptive treatment has been performed (which will often reduce the time in braces) and the type of technology utilised (which will differ from clinic to clinic). In our office, we are finding orthodontic treatment generally takes between 12 to 24 months.
We are excited to utilise Suresmile® in our office, a cutting edge technology which is backed by independent research and is shown to reduce treatment time by up to 30%. With Suresmile®, Dr Siva utilises advanced 3D images, virtual simulations and robotically bent wires to move teeth to their final position in a more direct route. Learn more >
